Post-production: Visual editing

VISUAL EDITING

Day 33

Introduction

Welcome back my little Alakazam to another adventure! this time it's all about visual editing. Visual editing allows an editor to manipulate and connect scene together to create a fine art masterpiece. In our film opening we use some visual editing such as cutting and trimming, this helps us remove any unwanted scene, this also improve the pacing of the video. In addition to that we also use transition like fade in, fades out, blur this helps enhance the original effect of the video alongside with a smooth transition where it keeps the audience engage in the movie. At last use vignette, like a dark circle around this help set the mood transition from okay to danger and warning which support our genre of horror.

Reflection
For our film editing, we use the app CapCut . This app was free to use with some subscription, but we were able to make the most out of it. We able to transition smoothly between scenes add special effects. Without the help of Capcut the film was not nearly as engaging as it now. The only downside the editing app we used had was the limitation, like I mention before some of the editing technique needed would require subscription.
